The availability of beds for human trafficking survivors in San Diego is severely limited compared to the estimated number of victims. Research and reports indicate the following:

• It is estimated that there are Between 3,000 and 8,000 annually human trafficking victims in San Diego annually.

• There are fewer than 100 dedicated beds available specifically for trafficking survivors in the entire county.

• Children as young as 8 years old are actively being recruited via gaming and social media sites.
